No weather seals or protective strips - Many residential front doors will have a riser, flashing, weather stripping or sealing etc. that will impede the DoorJammer or not allow it to fit properly. You will need to observe the condition of your front residential door if buying for that purpose.
There needs to be a 1/4" minimum clearance between the bottom of the door and the floor to fit the DoorJammer.

Does the Orginal DoorJammer Lockdown come with an extension foot?
No, Lockdown is the taller model so it doesn't require extensions.
Do I need to use the provided spacers?
No, the spacers can improve performance but the Original DoorJammer was designed and tested without them.
If my door is fitted with a draft excluder or a rubber kickstrip, will the Original DoorJammer still
work?
Yes, as long as the strip does not prevent DoorJammer fitting under the door. Crushing or damage to the strip could occur, however.
Does the Original DoorJammer work as effectively if I extend the foot all the way out?
Yes, DoorJammer's PAS24 certificate was issued at full extension. You can see it in action in the video here.
Can I use the Original DoorJammer to keep a door open instead?
Yes, DoorJammer works just as well!
What is the minimum and maximum under-door gap for the Original DoorJammer?
You will need a minimum of 1/4" to fit DoorJammer. The maximum gap for DoorJammer is approximately 1.3" and for Lockdown, it's 1.6"
Will the Original DoorJammer prevent Fire or Police services getting in during an emergency?
We demonstrated DoorJammer to fire service professionals who agreed it would not prevent them from breaching a door by its hinges. Police liked it so much we're a preferred product through the official police security initiative, Secured By Design.
Can I take my Original DoorJammer onboard a plane in overhead luggage?
Yes, DoorJammer is TSA-friendly, compact and lightweight.
How does the Original DoorJammer work on carpet?
When fitted firmly, DoorJammer should remain in place, however the extension foot provided has a special grip that helps for very thick carpets.
Does the Original DoorJammer fit to a uPVC door?
DoorJammer requires a minimum 3mm gap under a door to fit - most uPVC doors do not have this gap.
How much does the Original DoorJammer Lockdown or Portable weigh?
DoorJammer only weighs a little more than a mobile phone at just 210g / 0.46lbs and Lockdown is 810g / 1.78lbs.

The foot will extend DoorJammer by 11mm.
What materials are used to make the Original DoorJammer?
We only use high-grade steel to achieve DoorJammer's incredible strength. Smaller parts and accessories are rubber and plastic.
Can I fit the Original DoorJammer to my door permanently?
We do not recommend this. DoorJammer is designed with a quick-release function for safety and portability.
Can I buy the Original DoorJammer for use on outward swinging doors?
No, currently outswinging doors are not compatible with DoorJammer.
